Fingertip Towels

Fingertip towels are the smallest of the three sizes and the least used — hung by a sink for a quick dry, or hung purely for looks. That is exactly why embellishment works best at this size: the stones never take a full wash cycle's worth of abuse, so the towel stays presentable far longer than a bath towel carrying the same trim. In a powder room or guest bath, this is the size doing the decorative work.

Hang them where they will be seen rather than grabbed, and keep a plain towel nearby if the room gets real use. Stripe also runs in hand towels and full towel sets.
