Love this mat!!

This is very pretty and adds lots of sparkle which I love. But I did get some wet cat food on it and it got in between all the pretties and wasn’t fun to clean. I was worried about scrubbing the sparkle off but it didn’t. The plastic doesn’t smell very good at first-very strong-but it went away after a few days. Could be used for human placemats or dogs/cats.

This is a soft, flexible dog or cat mat with plenty of sparkle. It is a thin mat (not heavy duty or thick). When I hold it with one finger, it folds in half and droops. It is in the shape of bone with silver sparkle. It is a small sized mat at 18.5” long with the widest part being 12” (the end of the bone). It is okay for two small cat bowls. The mat has a rough side that is the top and smooth side. It moves all over the floor if the dishes are light. It will stay put with heavy, ceramic dishes. If you have a messy drinker (like my dog) this mat will not cut it. The mat is not easy to clean. The sparkle side is rougher, so it tears bits off the sponge. Food particles and other stuff gets stuck (hard to get them out so the mat will be sanitary). I like the sparkle, but it is not practical.

This sparkles rhinestone placemat is very, very silver and extremely sparkly. In the listing, it's nowhere near as sparkly or bright silver as it is in real life. The placemat slipped and slid all over our kitchen floors when my dog (a dachshund) attempted to eat out of her bowl on this placemat. I had to move her food before she could eat, and, when she was finished eating, she dragged this extremely lightweight placemat over in a corner where it couldn't bother her any more. She's done with this. Sadly, this placemat, which I thought was cute in the listing, is not for us. It is neither use nor ornament. It's extremely sparkly and very bright silver. It's not quite big enough for two full-size dishes for water and food. It does indeed slip and slide. I don't know about it being easy to clean since my dog never ate off it. I would also worry with long-term use that some of the sparkles would end up in a dog's food or water. That can't be good. That's not going to be a problem for us. Everybody likes different things, including dogs and cats. Maybe this placemat is better suited to cats. Our cat in residence would have nothing to do with it. He knows who the boss is, and since the boss already dragged this placemat to a spot of disgrace, I suppose the cat figured out he should just leave it there rather than risk the wrath of the dachshund. Other people may like dog placemats that are extremely lightweight, slip and slide, and are a very, very bright, sparkly silver. This just wasn't for us, and I don't feel it was well made or made of quality materials. Sadly, the sparkly silver slip-n-slide placemat was just not right for us.
